Once we sent the email campaigns through the programs, we compared them to the original email we sent to make sure they appeared as we intended. We also rated services based on where they ended up. Some emails landed in the spam folder or the Promotions tab in Gmail, which we counted against the software. It's critical that businesses have their email campaigns end up in a person's inbox, so we felt that was a necessary test in the evaluation process.
Consistency breeds creativity. There’s nothing worse than a boring email newsletter (see CopyBlogger’s “5 Reasons Why No One Is Reading Your Email Newsletter”). Jot down ideas for upcoming email newsletters just like you would for blog posts or book chapters. Rework an old post into new content. Highlight some of your favorite posts from your blog—and why you liked writing them. Your email newsletter doesn’t have to be completely exclusive content, but it shouldn’t be verbatim of that blog post you wrote last week.
That’s huge, especially considering that you can reuse content, and everything is sent out automatically. You can have specific drip campaigns for educating users, rewarding your best customers, helping people who hit a certain page on your site, and more. Most importantly, though, is that you can pin-point user groups with drip emails, segmenting your email list, and reaching the right people when they're ready to buy. You can segment your list based on demographics, purchase history, and which emails that user has opened in the past, leading to more conversions and fewer unsubscribes.
Drip – I set up clients on Drip. It is Great for e-commerce shops and those selling their info products online. It is easy to get started with Shopify + Drip integrations – but a lot of features are “hidden” so setup is not always intuitive. Some of the powerful features I love are being able to conditionally display content in emails based on subscriber/customer behaviors as well as being able to automation sending of email also based on conditions!
As new marketing techniques and strategies pop up almost daily, email marketing has truly evolved to keep pace with flashy new technology and capture the attention of customers. A great email helps you engage your customer and deliver your message, which can make a difference between a click-through and a direct route to your website or losing a customer’s interest and being sent to the spam folder.
But why the need to create and send an entire drip campaign as opposed to just a “thank you for your purchase” email? That’s because retailers that send a series of welcome emails see 13 percent more revenue than those that send just one. Plus, the average open rate for automated welcome emails is a whopping 50 percent, making it the perfect opportunity to open up the lines of communication and keep those customers engaged.

What is the marketing message?

Lists vs. Groups: In Mad Mimi, you’ll be creating multiple lists—one for each option—whereas in MailChimp you’ll only need one list because each list can have multiple “groups”, and you can choose to send emails to different groups or segments. (As mentioned above, you’ll find you need to trick Mad Mimi with a secondary feed address like FeedBurner or FeedBlitz to create more than one RSS to email campaign from the same site.)

Analytics and reporting: Once you send an email, you'll want to determine how it's doing. Most services provide a range of data, including how many emails you sent, how many of them landed in inboxes, the bounce rate, who opened your emails, and the number of clicks and opens by location. Click-through rate and open rate are two basic metrics all email marketing services should provide. Those are important metrics to track for businesses.

How can I see my AT&T bill?

We have tried to sort all the email drip campaigns into several categories. First you can select the type of product you want to send drip emails for (software, services, information products). You can also select your niche (marketing, heath & fitness, etc.) or the type of customers you sell to (B2B of B2C). But our favorite is the filter for the type of email drip campaign / email sequence you want to send. You can get inspiration for your next webinar email drip, an upcoming product launch, a free trial email drip campaign or some drip emails to onboard new subscribers, you name it!
An email marketing drip campaign can serve as an ongoing conversation between you and your subscribers, allowing you to build on the information in previous emails. Not only does this keep your brand top-of-mind, but also helps establish a trusting relationship. Maintaining regular contact shows recipients that you keep your promises to always deliver more.
If you need more customer data to properly segment lists, Cates recommends the use of a poll as a quick way to get people's opinions on a single topic. For customers, it's visual, it's interesting, and it takes just a second to answer, Cates says. As a result, you can use a poll to "help foster a sense of interaction, since those who answer can see what other customers have picked," he says. "Once you've got a good pool of responses, you can create new lists based on your results."

How do I block spam in Outlook?

Promotional emails are one of the most economical ways for any business to connect with customers. Research shows a message is five times more likely to be seen through email than on social media like Facebook or Twitter. That’s why musicians use email marketing software to share their performance schedule with their fans, non-profits use it to get donations and photographers use it to promote their portrait services. It just works.

What is Apple's mission statement?

Put simply, drip marketing is all about giving people the right information at the right time. If someone just subscribed to your blog newsletter, for example, a drip campaign could send a welcome email right away, and two days later, an email that shows off some of your most-read content. Or if a potential customer has been hovering around your "premium upgrade" page for a few weeks but hasn’t yet pulled the trigger, a drip campaign could send them an email with five reasons to purchase the premium plan.

What is a listserv used for?

"In today's highly connected world, consumers want to connect with businesses in a variety of ways: email, social media, mobile and more. As a result, businesses need the ability to reach consumers wherever they are," says Ron Cates, director of new market development at Constant Contact. Outside of using traditional tools to grow your email list, there are many unique and interesting options. These include "placing a sign-up form or guest book at your place of business and adding a Join My Mailing List button to your website and your Facebook page," Cates says. In addition, there are new tools for signing up to stay connected with businesses or organizations from virtually anywhere. For example, Constant Contact offers Text-to-Join, in which users are added to an email list after sending a text message to a designated keyword, and Scan-to-Join, which lets customers join a list by scanning a QR code that a business has placed on a flyer, business card or other printed media, he says.

It’s never too late to get started with figuring out a drip-based strategy for your business. You do need to make sure you’re not sending current users a bunch of emails they didn’t sign up for. More often than not, if readers don’t understand why they’re getting your email (especially if they don’t remember signing up), they could unsubscribe, or worse, mark your email as spam.

Is mass emailing illegal?

You may feel like you’re just getting started, but you already have subscribers! That group you have in your Outlook Address Book that you treat as your “update list”? The list of email addresses from your last book signing? The people who have said, “Please let me know when you write a new blog post!”? They are the ones you want to add to your email list. But here’s the catch—you can’t just add them to your email list, you have to have their permission to do so. You can do this a couple ways:

Using Mad Mimi, you have two options for supplying a freebie link once the subscriber has clicked “activate”. You can include the free download link in the custom activation message (Webform, Advanced, then “Edit activation message”). Or, you can include an “Activation Landing Page” link to a page on your website that includes the link to the free download. Does that make sense?

Drip offers a very small forever free plan, along with a two-week free trial for the Basic and Pro membership levels. If you choose to continue service after those two weeks, then your card will be charged. There is a 30-day refund window from when you start your service, but it’s up to the discretion of Drip whether you will receive a full refund.

Like any good thing, you don’t want to overdo it. Too many drip emails will only annoy your customers. But a thoughtful set of drip emails can be the perfect way to remind people to buy your product, teach them how to use your tool once they’ve purchased it, and get new subscribers up-to-speed on your email newsletter. And the more specific your segments, the more likely you are to get interaction and interest from your subscribers—we’ll do a deeper dive into building segments later in the post.

First, by proactively sending relevant material to targeted prospects, you remove a lot of the legwork needed to get them interested. Since they’re already interested, you’re essentially shortening the sales cycle by moving leads more quickly through the funnel. A great drip email campaign also weeds out unresponsive site visitors, so no time or energy is wasted trying to make contact.
